Hedley Verity : portrait of a cricketer
Hill, Alan, 1928-2000
Book
Hedley Verity reigned supreme as a slow left-arm bowler in the 1930s. The Yorkshireman took 144 wickets for England in less than 10 years, famously duelling with the Australian batsman Don Bradman, dismissing him twice at Lord's in June 1934.
