In the blood

Unger, Lisa, 1970-2014
Books, Manuscripts
About to graduate from university, Lana Granger takes a job in town looking after 11-year-old Luke. Expelled from schools all over the country, Luke is used to controlling the people in his life, but in Lana he may have met his match. Or has Lana met hers? She has told so many lies about where she comes from and who she is, that even she can't remember the truth. Then her closest friend Beck goes missing, and her alibi for the night of the disappearance doesn't match with eyewitness accounts. Now, Lana finds herself lying again - to friends, to the police, to herself. She is willing to do almost anything to keep the truth from coming out. Even so, it might not be enough to keep her secrets dead and buried. But somebody knows all - and they are dying to tell.
